Our Greeters Team is responsible for being the first-face and first-voice of Silver Spring United Methodist Church. They extend the abundant hospitality of Christ through greeting people as they enter our building for Sunday morning and other special worship services and events throughout the year. Greeters can sign up for as many or few Sundays as their calendar allows, but always embody the following values:
- A deep care for all people who gather in our shared space.
- A willingness to go the extra mile by offering directions, staying alert to people’s needs, and offering extra-mile hospitality by guiding people through our space(s).
- A passion for meeting people where they are, as they are, without judgement or shame.
