Pastor Martha Daniels

Rev. Martha (she/her) comes from a United Methodist background, having earned her MDiv at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC and served in United Methodist Churches in the DC area before transferring to MCC in 2004. She served at MCC Windsor (Ontario, Canada) for many years prior to relocating to Brookfield. Rev. Martha’s passions in ministry include social justice, theology, and worship. She is very actively involved in spiritual advocacy for LGBTQ+ people who are incarcerated, for which she was awarded MCC’s John Hose Award for Clergy (for outstanding service to MCC) in 2022. Rev. Martha’s interests outside of the church include history, travel, and reading. She has a son Ben, who is engaged to Kristin; they both live in Chicago. Rev. Martha is also staff for Dylan, a tuxedo cat.

Pastor Martha will begin her ministry at Silver Spring United Methodist Church on October 1st, 2025.
