Soul Food
Nourishing the Next Generations
For the last year, we've seen and celebrated the ways that God is alive among us! From our new Children's Chapel program, to growing music ministries, to the over 18 recovery and support communities who have found a home in our building God is up to a new thing at Silver Spring United Methodist Church.
All of this is possible because of the countless generations before us. They have faithfully invested in the ministries of our congregation so that we could each find our place at the table of God's grace. Now it's our turn!
Join us for this Fall Stewardship Sermon Series in which we'll explore the ways God faithfully provides for us so that we can faithfully provide for the generations that will follow us. We'll reflect on where we've been, celebrate what God is doing right now, and listen deeply for the call of God's spirit as we prepare for the generations who will follow us, finding beloved community here on our corner in Silver Spring.
So pull up a chair and come cook up with us new ways we can faithfully follow the God who supplies our every need!

Give
Stewardship is not just about caring for the gifts of God that we’ve received. It’s about prayerfully and joyfully investing those gifts in ways that make God’s love apparent, God’s mercy abundant, and God’s justice inevitable in the world around us.
As we prepare for 2024, we need $600,000 in pledged giving to ensure that we’re able to offer and expand the ways we’re doing just that. We invite you to join us in worship, participate in upcoming classes and events, and prayerfully consider how financial generosity toward Silver Spring United Methodist Church will have an exponential impact in 2024.
