Marie feels extremely blessed to be the Director of Children and Family Ministries at SSUMC for over twenty years. She is passionate about faith formation across generations and in all areas of their lives. Marie has a heart for all things children and gives of herself so that kids may know
and love God. She is always looking for creative ways to teach the Gospel to reach children and can often be found in her office behind mounds of curriculum and/or supplies for families. Marie truly believes that faith formation starts at an early age.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Marie is also the Staff Representative for our Feeding Ministries and our Racial Justice Ministry. She is married and has three adult children and four grandchildren. All of whom are her pride and joy. Marie is a HUGE sports nut (Go Terps)! and she loves to read in her spare time.
