“Growing in Faith” Children’s Ministry

Our children’s ministry provides a wide variety of dynamic programs for children to learn about Jesus and to put what they have learned into action. We are committed to partnering with families to continue faith development at home. As a part of partnering with families, we have changed the name of our Sunday School to Growing in Faith as we will grow in faith together.

Here at SUMC, children are welcomed into all aspects of church life, including worship! The first Sunday of the month will be Everyone Worships Sunday. We will not have Growing in Faith on these Sunday’s and all children will remain in worship so that families can worship together. We offer age-appropriate Christian children’s programming during Sunday morning worship and at other times of the week.

If you are a guest, please talk to a Sunday morning greeter to be directed to the appropriate class.

Regular attenders and members should submit registration information for the appropriate program by printing the appropriate form or picking one up from church: Growing in Faith (all ages, including nursery), Club 45, and Mission Mania.

Children’s Chapel at 10:15 a.m.

The children are dismissed after the children’s message in “big church” for their very own worship service each week in the Chapel. The Children's Chapel is just like a “big” church. The children have their own worship bulletins, and they follow the order of worship allowing the children to participate in a Call to Worship, read scripture, hear a message, and sing with Ms. Polito, our children’s choir director. The children are also learning to pray, and they love sharing “Joys and Concerns” which they call “Sweet and Sour.” A special part of Children’s Chapel is when children that play a musical instrument get to share their talents and play for their peers. The children are really enjoying their very own worship service and look forward to it each week.
